Multiplié Dance Festival 2024

Let’s meet on the dance floor!

We at DansiT Choreographic Center welcome you to the 2024 edition of Multiplié dance festival. This year we celebrate that it is 20 years since the festival had its first edition under the name Trondheim Community Dance Festival.

It is hard to believe that 20 years have passed since the festival was established as a meeting point for different expressions, different bodies and experiences. 20 years later, we still stick close to this urgency. 

We present a gathering and a collision of performances that challenge traditional ideas around dance technique, aesthetics, choreography, and performance practices. For this year’s edition, we present artists that are looking at how we live and how we are together – both in our own bodies, together with other bodies –  and in our society.

We think dancing is amazing, and that dance is one of the most accessible art forms. But at the same time, it is one of the most exclusive ones when it comes to professionalization. This festival was founded to challenge the norm, and 20 years later, we believe that it is still desperately needed. 

We hope that you join us for both in April, by attending the festival as an audience, and joining the floor –  as the beautiful and unique dancer that you are.
