Accessibility

Both showings are relaxed performances: This means that the actors take a relaxed attitude towards movement and sounds coming from the audience, audience members can come and leave the performance as they wish, latecomers are allowed, and you can go out and spend time in the relaxed space (2nd floor at Rosendal Theatre) during the performance if there is a need for it.

The performance at 12:00 is also sensory-friendly, and includes a touch tour in advance: A sensory-friendly performance has a subdued approach to light and sound, and avoids smoke.

A touch tour is a guided experience before the performance, for the audience with visual impairments or who for various reasons need a more predictable approach to the performance space. Read more about this offer here.

Pop! Squeak! Squeal! It crawls, it creeps, it wriggles. ‘Sopp, sopp, sopp’! The forest comes to life.

Who are the little creatures that live on and under the forest floor? In a balance between fantasy and fact, Økohelter shows us a micro-world full of tiny superheroes, and we get to experience how alive, poetic and moving the forest can be. This is a performance for the curious and playful!

In a poetic, beautiful and engaging way, the dance quartet STICKY takes us inside the intimate, wonderful little universe of the forest. Økohelter is a multi-sensory performance where the forest’s tiny superheroes are equated with all life. Big climate issues can seem heavy and intangible, but in this performance, we are reminded in a touching way of how concrete it can be, and that we are inextricably linked. The small, busy life at the bottom of the forest is just as concrete and important as our busy everyday lives. Come join this remarkable little community!

STICKY (Edginton/Lothe/Olsen/Parsons) is an international collective of queer, female dance artists based in Oslo and London. Their practice delves into the bodily and the sensitive, the playful and the peculiar. The four artists met studying contemporary dance at Laban in London and share a drive to create environmentally conscious work. Økohelter is their first work as STICKY, where they all work as dancers and choreographers.

Suitable for children from 4 years, and their families. A multi-sensory and accessible performance with a focus on being able to engage in the performance in various ways.

Four dancers on stage. All have white costumes, with different structures and patterns on them. One dancer wears a dark green wavy scarf. Another dancer has a collar of white transparent fabric. The third one has a bonnet-like hat on their head, and a collar with a feather-like structure. The fourth one has a large collar that extends over their head and back. A blurry shadow of white cloth is in the foreground of the image. Black background.
