Sign Language Interpreted in Norwegian
A sign language interpreter interprets and conveys information typically received through the sense of hearing. Some preparation is required, and it’s common for the interpreter to attend rehearsals to get an understanding of the performance and what needs to be interpreted. The sign language interpreter usually stands on the periphery of the stage with lighting to be clearly visible to audience members using the service.
The Relaxed Space is unfortunately not available due to a private event on the Mezzanine
What is DansiT-salong?
In autumn 2023, DansiT started the DansiT salon concept, which consists of conversations and interdisciplinary meetings with and between artists, followed by a time and space to dance together. In the salon, we dive into the artists’ strong commitments to specific interests, themes or issues. The salons are a bit like a delicious spice in the season, and we look forward to chatting and dancing with all of you people who occasionally want a professional, versatile and sociable top-up through the season.
People all over the world now feel the effects of climate change on their bodies. Extreme rainfall, heat waves, extreme drought and forest fires strike more often, more widely and become more and more intense. Climate and the environment are a central part of the public debate, and people of all ages are getting involved in what may be the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced.
But how do they express their commitment – and what do they actually achieve?
For the last DansiT salon of the season, we have invited Alex Strømme, subject didactics in natural science at NTNU, to lead a conversation between two climate campaigners on this very topic. Choreographer and dancer Geir Hytten has created performances about ecological care and community, and examines environmental commitment inside the four walls of performing arts. 13-year-old Linus Østern Lien is one of many young people who believe that the world’s leaders should have pulled the emergency brake a long time ago, and has created the website Green Climate where he shares his knowledge so that it will be easier for more people to make more climate-friendly choices.
How does their environmental commitment develop and unfold – practically, politically and personally?
Geir Hyttens newest performance RED FLAG will be shown after the salon in sal 1. In the evening after the performance, there will be a dance floor with DJ Ranja from 22:00.
