Choreographer Jenny Beyer and her artistic partners Chris Leuenberger and Nina Wollny use their residence at the Zurich Dance House as research for the piece DEUX, which will be performed at Kampnagel Hamburg in April 2021. Because of the current situation Nina Wolly is not able to be physically in Zürich but joins the rehearsal virtually from the studio of DansiT in Trondheim.

DEUX dedicates itself to the duet as the smallest denominator of encounter in dance and arises within the framework of the research project THE OFFENE STUDIO, in which Jenny Beyer and team have dedicated themselves to the integration of spectators in artistic processes. Under the impression of the pandemic, DEUX in particular focuses on the meeting of two people as precarious, intimate and collaborative interventions. What does proximity mean right now? What is the value of the empty space between us? How do we fill it?
