PRAXIS Trondheim invites you to a conversation around female physical labor.

Welcome to Round Table Talk with PRAXIS Trondheim. We have invited Icelandic choreographer Katrin Gunnarsdóttir to talk about her work ALDA, which is inspired by the theme of women’s collective physical labor. We are very excited for her and one of the dancers from ALDA to share their experiences and to open a conversation around questions like:

  • What does physical labor mean for female dancers?
  • What was and is it like to work as a professional dancer?
  • What challenges are we facing now and in the future?
  • How to make a living as a performing artist and survive on the market?
  • What is needed to create a healthy work environment?
  • What can we learn from the international scene?
  • How to build a supportive community in Trondheim?

PRAXIS Trondheim is an initiative by and for Trondheim-based performing artists to create a space for sharing artistic practices. With the Round Table Talks we offer a platform for exchange and discussion around specific topics spiced with some movement invitations.
