De Dansers viser forestillingen Café Ed Sanders i Verkstedhallen lørdag 30. august kl. 19.30, og gir med denne workshopen deltakerne et eksklusivt innblikk i både forestillingen og kompaniets arbeid og metoder for øvrig. Ta på treningsklær og forbered deg på å bli svett! Workshopen varer til kl. 12.00 og er en del av Propellen Teaters festival Dette er scenekunst for barn og unge! Se festivalprogrammet for mer informasjon.

Om De Dansers:

De Dansers is a professional group of young dancers and musicians with a strong mutual togetherness. They stand for art in society. Under the direction of Josephine van Rheenen and Guy Corneille, they create dance concerts, an own genre in which musicians and dancers share the stage. Since 2009, they have been performing in schools, theatres and festivals from hometown Utrecht (NL) to all the corners of Europe.

De Dansers do not have a live-band as musical support, but performances played by everyone together, opening the boundaries between one another. The musicians, from indiefolk band La Corneille, are versatile and stop at nothing to find the right tone. Minimal music on piano, folk-like heartbreakers on guitar or an exciting band. The dance language is energetic, without frills and not for the fainthearted. In a very tactile and instinctive way, the dancers create acrobatic partnerwork and fling themselves against walls and over instruments.

De Dansers believe in performances that appeals to and ignites audiences on the physical, the basal, the unanecdotically humane level.
