«Mine» is a pilot project by T.I.T.S.

MINE : a rich source

MINE : an explosive device

MINE : something that belongs to me

MINE : to «dig in» for the purpose of extracting something precious

«Mine» by T.I.T.S. aims to research the relationship people have towards possession and territoriality and its connection to body posture, movement, carefully chosen objects and spatial awareness. T.I.T.S. wishes to explore a form that could possibly be called a “physical opera” or a “dance concert”.

During T.I.T.S.’s residency in DansiT, they will look for a corresponding physical and voice expression: Sound and visual material with the body in its center as a material for their future atmospheric performance. They confront and compare their individual personal experience of «having» with historical events of territory claims. First week of T.I.T.S.’s residency will be led by I. M. Popovici and her research workshop Crack Through The Unresolved. Their second week will be dedicated to research movement qualities and their execution in connection with sound and voice and so compose our first physical songs.

The project «Mine» is supported by Kulturrådet.

About T.I.T.S.

T.I.T.S. is a fluctuating independent performance group that create atmospheric performances with the body in its center (founding members Nela H. Kornetová, Ann Sofie Godø, Juli Apponen and Björn Hansson). They joined forces at the Norwegian Theatre Academy and started to work with light and sound design, the architecture of a given space, and the physical and vocal presence of performers, in a way that made all of these components equally important. They are interested in themes that audience can relate to instinctively.

The project «Mine» will be created by Nela H. Kornetová (CZ/NOR)  in cooperation with Heidi Dalene (NOR), Anders Firing Aardal (NOR), Lærke Grøntved (DK), Björn Hansson (SWE), Josephine KylénCollins (SWE) and Ioana Mona Popovici (RO)
