Jeg, Chiara Bersani, 98 cm høy, utnevner meg selv til enhjørningens kjøtt, muskler og bein. Siden jeg ikke kjenner dens hjerte, vil jeg forsøke å gi den pusten og øynene mine

Enhjørningenes opprinnelse er ukjent. Deres røtter har gått tapt mens generasjoner av distraherte mennesker har etterfulgt hverandre. Hva skjer i den kollektive fantasien når en mytologisk figur dukker opp uten en myte som rettferdiggjør og legger grunnlaget for dens eksistens?

Et skjørt og utryddet symbol vekkes her til live, i det Bersani gir det kjærlighet, en historie, og et valg.

Om Chiara Bersani

Chiara Bersani er en aktiv kunstner innen scenekunstfeltet; hun har jobbet som utøver for Lenz Rifrazioni (I), Alessandro Sciarroni (I),Rodrigo Garcia (ES), Jérome Bèl (BE). Siden 2010 har hun utviklet egne arbeid, som gjerne fokuserer rundt ideen om politiske kroppen.

As I don’t know its heart, I will try to give it my breath and my eyes

Unicorn origins are barely known. Their roots went lost while distracted generations of human beings have followed one another. What happens in the collective imagination when a mythological figure appears without a myth that founds and justifies its existence?

A fragile and eradicated symbol comes to existence when Bersani gives it a love, a story, and a choice.

Chiara Bersani is an active artist in the vast field of performing arts; she’s been working as a performer for Lenz Rifrazioni(I), Alessandro Sciarroni (I), Rodrigo Garcia (ES), Jérome Bèl (BE), and developing her own work, focusing around the idea of political body, since 2010.
