Contemporary and jazz fused with Ugandan folk dance movements!

The class concentrates mainly on learning, advancing and exploring more movement vocabularies, through understanding of the African Dance Knowledge and Practice, particularly E. Africa. It also entails footwork, poly-rhythmic movement, deep work and body coordination.

Gerald and Edward are the founding directors of Dance Theatre Uganda. These twofold are one of the Uganda’s dynamic dance teachers, choreographers and performers, who have worked on a number of performances both local and international. They hold a Bachelor degree in Dance and pedagogy from the Norwegian University College of Dance, and are currently pursuing their Master’s Degree in Dance Knowledge, Heritage and Practice at NTNU.
