Five days filled with dance, community, and powerful experiences are over. Audiences and artists together created a festival week we won’t forget anytime soon.
DansiT organizes the Multiplié Dance Festival every year, and this year’s edition took place April 21–25.
There was a full house on the opening day when SIYA opened the festival in the foyer. In Carl Aquilizan’s performance, the full emotional spectrum is expressed.
Halla Ólafsdóttir and Sindri Runudde continued with Papa. Sindri also created Rehearsal Radio, shaping the entire festival week.

Wednesday featured DansiT Salong, challenging ideas of dance and choreography, and the film OVERTOUR, where Danseteateret appeared with a pop-up performance.
Thursday marked the premiere of Elen Øyen’s solo work Interdependance, which received strong reviews from Adresseavisen as a delicate, precise, and deeply expressive work. Elen Øyen radiated vulnerability, determination, and dignity.
The performance Charlie also made a strong impression, alongside a workshop led by Adrienn Hód and Károly Tóth.

Friday began with Morning Coffee in Prinsenkrysset, where dance and acrobatics met commuters. Later, over 70 retirees joined Friday Disco at Rosendal Café. In the evening, Burrows & Fargion performed The Quiet Dance and The Unison Piece to standing ovations.
The closing day included Echoes Between Us in Verkstedhallen with audience participation, and Runway to Reverence in Vår Frue Church combining dance, music, and song. Bøler Samvirkelag performed at Rosendal Theatre, shaped by collaboration with Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion. The festival ended with Knocking by Norrdans – a fast and powerful finale.
The festival closed with disco at Rosendal Café with DJ Pastell. Smiles, hugs, and a full dance floor ended the week in true festival spirit.
The next Multiplié Dance Festival will take place April 13th–17th 2027
