Week 41 / 2023
As part of our interdisciplinary residency collaboration with Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (LKV), we welcome choreographer, dancer, performer and dance researcher Nefeli Gioti to Trondheim and our studio at Svartlamon for the next week.
Nefeli writes this about her residency:
During my residency time in DansiT, I explore ways of letting go of past promises and dwelling projects to make space and time to listen to what is there now. I am working on exploring performative manifestations that spring from a text I have been writing about the concept of practice and its possible transformation over the last few years. I am also dancing…
Nefeli Gioti is a Greek choreographer, dancer and dance researcher based in Stockholm. Gioti’s work emerges from and revolves around the intersection of dance, choreography, artistic research, performance and speculative fabulation. She explores the action of confusing, the difference in practice between meaning and sense, the conditions that make them appear and/or disappear, and the relationship between fact and fiction.
Nefeli Gioti has an MFA in choreography from SKH-Uniarts in Stockholm.
