Residency week 19 / 2025
How can one create movement material using text as a catalyst? During this residency, Lisa Teige and Synne Erichsen will explore exactly that, immersing themselves in the spontaneous dance that emerges. Using texts about outer space as a starting point, they will experiment with how to convey stories about the infinitely vast to young children.
Lisa Teige (b. 1998) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2020) and works as a creative dancer in both her own and others’ projects, based in Oslo and Bergen. Teige has worked with choreographers such as Georgiana Dobre, Marte Fjellheim Sarre, Tom Weinberger, and Camilla Tellefsen. In 2024, she premiered her first solo project, Enigmatic: Core Echo.
Synne Erichsen (she/her, b. 1999) primarily works as a performing dancer in the independent field, based between Bergen and Oslo. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2021, and has since been actively involved in projects with, among others, Tendai Makurumbandi, Janne-Camilla Lyster, Edwin Cabascango, and twin sisters Anna and Berit Einemo Frøysland.
