Residency week 16 / 2025

Animulius is a contemporary parkour project by Antero Hein that explores the dynamic interplay between dance and parkour to create an innovative and captivating experience. The project aims to engage children aged 3 and up through a fusion of dance, parkour, choreography, and imaginative costumes and set design. The young audience is especially encouraged to think outside the box and explore new dimensions of their creativity and imagination, encountering dancers in abstract forms, in concrete urban environments, and in playful costumes and scenography that draw the audience into a world of creatures and mythical beings.

The project embraces the idea that the impossible is merely a starting point for the extraordinary. Movements, dance, and parkour unfold in ways that provoke thought and inspire young minds to ask questions, to dream, and to explore beyond familiar boundaries. In this way, the impossible becomes a tool for conveying complex emotions and moral dilemmas. Through small stories—where unlikely friendships may blossom or where both ordinary and unusual characters achieve the extraordinary—children are potentially introduced to concepts such as empathy or discovering an inner courage.
