DansiT Salon is led by choreographer and dance artist Solveig Styve Holte, who is looking forward to eight hours of dance workshops, Resting Living, Library for the Vulnerable Body, a physical lecture, a reading and listening session, rounded off with a midnight gathering at Husly where dreams are shared.

– All of these works emerge from my PhD and an exploration of how we understand an archive – from the archives of dance history to the archive we carry with us through our own life experiences. I work with dance as a library, as a shared and collective resource, in the same way as public space and nature, says Styve Holte enthusiastically.

What are you most looking forward to?

– I’m really looking forward to the physical lecture and to inventing new formats. I just hope I’m not too tired when I arrive at Husly at midnight!

Solveig Styve Holte has worked extensively in Trondheim and is looking forward to meeting the Trøndelag audience:

– It’s an environment with a lot of knowledge and a relaxed atmosphere. I really appreciate that – it’s a great combination of professional strength and relational warmth.

What would you like people to take away from the experience?

– That dance is an infinitely important force in the world.
