DansiT-salong
with Solveig Styve Holte
The autumn edition of the DansiT Salon is held as part of Kulturnatt and is hosted by choreographer and dance artist Solveig Styve Holte. Through six thematically connected events, the audience is invited to explore the body as a sensing, thinking, and relational space. The evening alternates between movement, rest, reading, listening, and collective dreaming. It opens up different forms of presence and togetherness.
The program includes a dance workshop, a walking rest performance, a mini library, a physical lecture, a reading and listening session, and a concluding midnight gathering.
As a participant, you may choose to follow the entire programme, or attend only selected parts of it.
4:00 p.m. – Dance Workshop
An open dance workshop for everyone, regardless of experience. The aim of the workshop is to share practices from Holte’s work, giving participants the opportunity to explore their own bodily experiences through simple and accessible approaches to movement, presence, and sensory awareness.
Duration: 60 minutes
Location: Produksjonssalen – DansiT / Svartlamon
5:30 p.m. Kvilande levande
Holte invites the audience to join Kvilande Levande, a walking rest performance moving from one place to another around Lamon. Where can one find rest in Trondheim during Kulturnatt?
Duration: 30 minutes
Meeting point: DansiT / Svartlamon – Strandveien 33
6:00 p.m. – A Library for the Vulnerable Body
A pop-up mini-library featuring selected books on different perspectives of bodily vulnerability. Visitors are welcome to read on site, and tea will be served.
Open: 18:00–23:00
Location: Ministudio – DansiT / Svartlamon
8:00 p.m. – Physical Lecture
A lecture by Holte reflecting on body, experience, and knowledge production through both language and movement. The lecture is created in collaboration with dance artist and choreographer Venke Sortland. Holte’s voice and Sortland’s body meet in a physical interpretation in the space — a living exchange between the spoken and the experienced.
Duration: 60 minutes
Location: Produksjonssalen – DansiT / Svartlamon
10:00 p.m. – Reading and listening session
A Library for the Vulnerable Body provides the setting for a reading and listening session led by Holte. The audience listens to selected texts and is then invited to share thoughts, resonances, and experiences.
Duration: 30 – 40 minutes
Location: Ministudio – DansiT / Svartlamon
12:00 a.m. – Midnight gathering
Welcome into Husly — we light the fireplace and settle together. Holte invites the audience into a collective dream session, in soft light and shared presence.
Duration: 60 minutes
Location: Husly – behind DansiT / Svartlamon
