Triptych Moves – a tripple bill
Each part lasts about 20 minutes, with a 5-minute break in between, after all the prats has been shown there will be a conversation.
Triptych Moves is a three-part dance performance that brings together three dance artists from Trøndelag in an experience featuring diverse expressions of contemporary dance, dance theatre, and improvisation.

It is what it is – Marte Kristine Brustad Melhus
I want to become a ball, but also an animal. I want movement for the sake of movement, and the joy of challenging my body. I want one thing today, and probably something else tomorrow, but I always want to dance. Can we, just for now, let dance be what it is? A moment in time that is soon gone forever.
This solo-work started with an interest in sports, games and competition, and an exploration of sports-like movements and movement qualities. Slowly, it has grown into something else, and now, it is this.

Marte Kristine Brustad Melhus (b. 1997) is a dance artist from Trondheim based in Oslo. She has a bachelor’s degree from Høyskolen for Dansekunst (2019) and PPU (2022) and a master’s degree in performing dance (2025) from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In recent years, Marte has worked on several of her own projects, which have been shown at Mørkerommet at Rosendal Teater (2020) and the Summer Dance festival in Vanvikan (2021 and 2022). She has also been a creative performer in a number of productions at Rom for dans. “It is what it is” is her graduation performance from the master’s degree in dance at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and premiered in March 2025.
Roots – Ann Kathrin Røsvik Granhus
In the solo performance Roots, traditional themes meet modern physical stage expression through energetic dance theatre. Suggestive rhythms and visual effects contribute to creating an energetic, varied and sensual experience.
Roots explores various aspects of Viking Age crafts and culture, with the aim of fascinating and awakening thoughts about the Nordic cultural heritage and the Nordic ancestors. The performance plays on many strings in the storytelling, and you get to experience the mystery and power of the Viking Age up close.

Ann Kathrin Røsvik Granhus is a creative and performing dance artist from Verdal, Trøndelag with over 11 years of experience in the dance field. During that time, she has worked regionally, nationally and internationally. Ann Kathrin mainly works with the intersection of contemporary dance, dance theatre and performance. She performs in her own and others’ works, teaches and explores dance in visual arts such as photography and film. In recent years she has created five productions in five years in Trøndelag, with the goal of creating sensual and varied experiences for a wide audience.

Pulse – Gunhild Løhre and Björn Guo
Pulse is an improvised duet by Gunhild Løhre and Björn Guo that explores the rhythm of our inner pulse, gradually opening into a collective experience of movement, presence, and shared silence – blurring the line between observer and participant.
Pulse is rooted in dance- and music improvisation, inspired by the rhythms of our inner pulse. Movement, sound and stillness unfold together in a dialogue. Gradually we open the up for a collective exploration, and through a focus on community and connection we offer an open space for movement improvisation where everyone is invited to participate as much as they like.

Gunhild Løhre is a dance artist from Lundamo, educated at LIPA (The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts). Gunhild works freelance based in Trondheim, and is also employed by DansiT, affiliated with the companies Danselaboratoriet and Danseteateret. Gunhild has produced and choreographed several of her own performances and has worked on several dance film projects. Her main interests are interdisciplinary projects, integrated dance, dance on film and the fusion of different dance styles, methods and expressions. She loves meeting different people of different ages and perspectives through dance; in one week she can roll around with toddlers and rave with 60-90 year olds!
Björn Guo is a Swedish violinist and violist from Örebro who moved to Trondheim in 2015 after completing his master’s degree in music pedagogy at the Ingesund Academy of Music (Karlstad University) to continue his music studies at NTNU. He is a member of the chamber orchestra TrondheimSoloists (TrondheimSolistene), have been in productions at Trøndelag Teater and Nye Hjorten Teater, and played in the jazzband Sondre Ferstad Ensemble. In addition, he has collaborated with Anna Thu Schmidt, Gunhild Løhre and other dance artists associated with DansiT. Since 2021 he has been a part of Andrea Spreaficos (Spreafico/Eckly) production of Dante. In addition to playing in various genres – from free improv, pop and rock to classical – he also works as a substitute at Trondheim Cultural School and offers private lessons.
