DJ Vika is 84 years old and a superstar in the nightclubs of Warsaw. Full of energy and charisma, she refuses to let age define her and lives life on her own terms. But behind this colorful facade lies a story marked by loneliness and painful memories from World War II. Vika! is a bittersweet portrait of a woman who faces aging with strength, but also with an inevitable awareness of life’s fleeting nature.

This is an uplifting and moving documentary about one of the world’s oldest DJs, with music and energy providing the backdrop for a reflective story about celebrating life until the very end.

In collaboration with Kosmorama, we will screen the documentary Vika!, followed by a proper dance party at Rosendal Kafé, where DJ Vika herself will be behind the turntables, setting the mood!

After the screening Wednesday 26. March there will be an Artist Talk with Vika, moderated by local artist and ageism activist Berit Rusten.

Presented in collaboration with Cinemateket Trondheim and Kosmorama
